Ever since I got into Reiki (which significantly improved my life, by the way) I have grown as a human and a spiritual being. To say I have become more spiritual since I got into Reiki and energy work is an understatement. It has been my pathway to a higher vibration and higher consciousness. For this I am eternally grateful! This naturally leads to a greater appreciation for and a deeper connection to spirituality. I want to make it clear, though, that I am in mid transformation because there is much more for me to learn and evolve into.
Since my transformation started, I look at the world differently. However, I have always been a little different — a little odd for this time and place on Earth. (See my Nonconformist Blog post). Now that my consciousness is rising, I feel even more disconnected from the rest of the human race. This is not a feeling I enjoy. I wish I felt a part of the human race as a whole. However, I have a really hard time understanding how I can share the same label of “homo sapien” as someone who commits a hate crime or even litters on my neighborhood street. People with higher vibrations or consciousness are not likely to throw trash on the ground or even think about committing a hate crime. These behaviors are ones I truly don’t comprehend. Understanding how my vibration is different from someone else’s vibration has helped me better understand people, but it also frustrates me because I want everyone to vibrate like I do. That is never going to happen. Some people just aren’t ready in this lifetime.
Lower vibrational beings are constricted in their energy. They live a more “dense” existence. Their energy does not flow as easily and they often get stuck in situations involving anger, jealousy, hatred — attach whatever negative emotion word you can think of. As humans we all experience these emotions, but lower vibrational people live in this state frequently. People with lower or denser vibrations often feel tired due to their constricted energy flow. This keeps them from breathing in a deep and healing manner. As a result, their entire physical being is affected negatively. Unfortunately, the world is crawling with lower vibration beings. Just turn on the news, look around the grocery store, or notice the angry road ragers on the streets. You see these lower vibrational folks all over the place. These people are filled with hate, rage, selfishness, and greed much of the time. They stir up trouble and enjoy the drama of it. They tend to only think about themselves and not about others or the common good. When we are around these lower vibrations, they can pull us down, causing our vibrations to lower to their level (albeit temporarily). It’s hard to be around these people. That is why many higher vibration people seek the solace of home to get away from the stress of the world. In addition, like attracts like, so these people tend to hang with people who are also vibrating at a lower level. It’s best to avoid them or simply keep your interactions to a minimum. This can be hard when they are close friends or relatives, but it can be done.
People who are vibrating at a higher frequency are people who exude love and kindness. Because these beings are operating at a higher frequency, physically their blood flow is better which ultimately helps all their organs. The result — better health. These people also tend to be more patient, understanding, and open to new ideas. They accept responsibility and don’t play the blame game. These are people we like to be around.
I never knew about how I vibrated (low or high) before I got into energy work. I didn’t intentionally try to raise my vibration, but Reiki was my pathway that set me on my way to a higher vibration. As I learned more, gained insight into how energy works, and continued pursuing knowledge, I naturally started raising my vibration. It just happened. It wasn’t planned. You can do the same. You can make an intention to raise your vibration for greater happiness and better health.
I began to raise my vibration through Reiki. While I encourage everyone to give Reiki a try, I know it’s not the path for everyone. Here are some other ideas of ways to raise your vibration.
Give gratitude — each morning and night state, outloud, what you are grateful for. It can transform your attitude for the better. Remember there is ALWAYS something to be grateful for. Gratitude to so powerful! Anytime you are having a bad day, be grateful. It works miracles.
Forgive — yourself and others. This doesn’t necessarily mean forget, but you have the power to accept that others are not perfect and need forgiveness of a wrong they have committed. Move on and let it go.
Breathe — sitting quietly and paying attention to your breath is a wonderful way to calm down and forget all your stressors. You can turn this into a daily meditation practice. Even just 5 minutes a day will help.
Dance barefoot — this will give you a super double whammy of goodness. Dancing is important to the soul. Dance like no one is looking (and who cares if they are). Put on your favorite tune, kick off the shoes, and dance. The connection you feel to the Earth will ground you and raise your vibration instantly.
Eat better — I am definitely an advocate for eating a plant based diet. If you just think for a minute about what you put into your body, you will have to agree that filling your body with dead animals isn’t the way to raise your vibration. When you eat dead animals and their secretions (i.e. dairy) the fear and anxiety that animal felt during its life enters your body. I chose to eat plants which add to my health rather than worsen it.
Smile and laugh — something as simple as a laugh or a smile can raise your vibration, especially when you do it at times when you really don’t feel like it. Can this be hard to do when you are feeling sad, alone, resentful (whatever negative emotion that you want)? Absolutely. Do it anyway. Smiles create smiles. Laughter creates laughter. Kindness creates kindness. That’s how vibrations are raised.
ALWAYS choose kindness. Even when you are in a bad mood. Do something kind. It changes your perspective when you see someone grateful for you or your behavior.
Use essential oils. These are plant derived products that have been proven to work in concert with your body to raise energy each time you use them. When you are needing support for your wellness, choose essential oils.
