When I was a little kid I remember my mom doing all sorts of canning in the kitchen. My dad grew a large garden so there was always plenty of vegetables to can. Green beans were one thing we always had plenty of and, after I left home, I often got several jars of these to take back with me to enjoy.
Now that I have my own garden (although these beans were not from my garden — the beans just didn’t do very well, sadly) I wanted to learn the process of canning. Now I have learned how to can the beans (and have it forever preserved on my blog for future reference) I plan to do more canning in the future.
I did get the cooking gene from my mom so I appreciated her lesson so that I can carry on the tradition. I so look forward to eating this in the future when the garden is long gone and fresh beans are no longer available.
