Several years back, shortly after my husband passed away, I stumbled upon an AM radio program that was on in the middle of the night. Most likely I had awoken and couldn’t get back to sleep. The program was Coast to Coast AM with George Noory. I had heard the program before, but, because it was on the middle of the night, I rarely listened to it.
The program that happened to be on that night was about out of body experiences (OBEs) – something I had never heard of before. It was a fascinating topic. One thing that you can do when having an out of body experience is visit loved ones who have passed on. I desperately wanted to do this because my loss was fresh and I was missing my husband terribly (of course, I still do). I read books, bought CDs, and tried my best to have an OBE and I did have a very brief one once. It’s a technique that is not easy and takes lots of practice to accomplish.
The reason I bring all this up is that the OBE show got me hooked on Coast to Coast AM. Back then, the only way to listen was to be up in the middle of the night or tape record it, which if often did. Thank god for the digital age! Now I can listen to the previous night’s program on my iPhone through a podcast I subscribe to, as well as all the programs from previous 5 years.
WHY THIS PROGRAM IS SO AWESOME
If you haven’t heard of Coast to Coast AM you are missing out. It covers such a wide variety of topics such as the importance of gratitude, GMOs, more natural ways to better health, dream interpretation, astrology, and numerology. These are just a FEW of their topics that I absolutely love.
They also cover a lot of government conspiracies (a fascinating topic!), UFOs, Bigfoot, and other strange happenings. With 4 hours of programming to listen to every day, I can’t listen to it all. However, at least 3-4 programs each week are some of the most interesting discussions you will hear anywhere. It is my alternative and preferred news source these days. In fact, it is what I listen to everyday on my walk with Marble, my dog.
When they talk politics, you will hear a perspective lacking in all other media. It has opened my eyes. It has made me more open-minded and has really added value to my life and my business. I have used information I have learned on the show to add to my workshop and class offerings. I have also been turned on to many books and authors I probably would have never heard of otherwise. These books have been invaluable to me in my business.
I know that Coast has some off the wall programming, but that is such a small piece of it. Most of it is truly the most intelligent and thoughtful discourse you will find anywhere. The guests are all experts in their fields and are extremely well researched and compelling.
I recommend that everyone give George Noory and Coast to Coast AM a try be becoming a Coast to Coast Insider. For $7 you can listen at your leisure to the podcast for one month to try it out. By the way, I am getting no money for this endorsement. I just love this show! I pay $30 every 6 months and it is money well spent. Or if you wake up in the middle of the night and can’t fall back asleep, check out your AM radio stations. Chances are its playing between 1-5 AM Eastern time. If you give Coast to Coast a try, I would love to hear from you. If you are already an avid listener, I would love to hear about your favorite programs. Thanks, George, for all you do for me and all your millions of listeners. Click HERE to go to the Coast to Coast website.
Thanks for sharing Jen and nice to meet you! It sounds like a great show! Radio is still alive even today! Midlife is such a wonderful time to shift into finding the real you, and then finally follow your dreams. That’s what I did, and then I started writing books about just that! So fun to be sharing the wonders of midlife with others, huh?
